My husband and I had been working with another loan company when we found the house of our dreams. It was the house that we envisioned our son taking his first steps in, the house where we wanted to have all our family over for Thanksgiving dinner in, the house we would grow old in. It was our forever home. In the middle of escrow we were informed that not only would they not fund our loan for the amount we needed and we were going to lose the house, but we were not eligible for a loan at all!
